RESOLUTION N0. 87-2 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council President Santo Basile <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT <br />OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />MAYFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR THE RELOCATION OF <br />AN HISTORICAL HOUSE ONTO A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND <br />OWNED BY THE MUNICIPALITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />are desirous of leasing to the Mayfield Historical Society a certain <br />portion of a parcel of land owned by the municipality for the sole <br />purpose of moving thereon the house currently located at 6675 Wilson <br />Mills Road, which house shall hereinafter be referred to as the <br />"George Bennet House"; now, therefore; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a lease agreement with the Mayfield <br />Historical Society for that a certain parcel of land owned by the <br />municipality located in Wiley Park, said parcel being more fully <br />described in the legal description attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein as if fully rewritten. <br />Section 2. The lease agreement authorized herein shall be <br />. in a form approved by the Director of Law and shall include, but not <br />be limited to, the following terms and conditions: <br />(a) The term of the lease shall be for a period of <br />ninety nine (99) years from and after its date <br />of execution; <br />(b) As and for valuable consideration the Mayfield <br />Historical Society shall pay to the municipality <br />the sum of One Dollar (51.00) per year for the <br />term of the lease; <br />(c) The use of the subject property by the Mayfield <br />Historical Society shall be limited to the relocation <br />thereon of the George Bennet House and the use of <br />said House once relocated shall be limited to <br />functions of the Mayfield Historical Society and <br />other civic and governmental groups from the <br />original Mayfield Township geographic area; <br />(d) Any use of the subject House, once relocated, <br />for any and all commercial purposes shall be <br />strictly prohibited. <br />Section 3. Contemporaneous with the execution of the <br />Lease Agreement authorized herein, the municipality shall also execute <br />~~ <br />U <br />
