RESOLUTION N0. 87-17 (AS AMENDED) INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen & Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT AND ESTABLISHING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND COMPENSATION FOR THE SERVICES OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. The Mayor's appointment of Dan Patrick as Director of Finance for Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby confirmed subject to the terms, conditions and compensation hereinafter established. Section 2. As Director of Finance of Mayfield Village, Ohio, Dan Patrick shall be the head of the Finance Department and shall be responsible for all fiscal matters concerning the munici- pality. He shall furthermore perform all duties specified by the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio, with regard to the Director of Finance and furthermore shall perform all duties specified by the statutes of the State of Ohio in that same regard. Section 3. As Director of Finance Dan Patrick shall be required to be present at least three (3) days per week in the office of the municipal Finance Department to perform the duties imposed upon him by this Resolution, the Charter and the statutes of the State of Ohio, said days to be mutually agreed upon between the Director of Finance and the Mayor. He shall furthermore be required to attend all regular meetings of Council and such other special meetings of Council when specifically requested to so attend. He shall furthermore be required to attend all meetings of the Finance Committee unless excused by the Chairman of that Committee. section 4. As Director of Finance Dan Patrick shall be compensated at the rate of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars (517,500.00) per calendar year during the term of this contract which amount shall be paid in equal monthly installments due on the first day of each month. Section 5. The contractual arrangement between the municipality and the Director of Finance established herein shall commence February 1, 1987 and shall remain in force and effect through December 31, 1987 subject to the Charter provision concerning the term of office of Director of Finance and subject further to the right of either party to cancel this Agreement upon providing the other not less than thirty (30) days written notice. Section 6. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
