ORDINANCE N0. 87-2 (AS AMENDED) 1/19/87 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 137.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, CREATING THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT SERVICE DIRECTOR, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Section 1. There is hereby enacted Section 137.02 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, which shall read as follows: 137.02 Assistant Service Directoro (a) There is hereby created the office of Assistant Service Director. (b) The Assistant Service such duties as directed by the Director in order to meet the Department of Public Service. Director shall perform Building Commissioner/Service responsibilities of the (c) The compensation of the Assistant Service Director shall be established by Council from time-to-time. Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinance. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all -formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayf ield V illage for the reason that the position established herein is necessary to maintain effective governmental services.
