ORDINANCE N0. 87-11 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 147.02(a)(3) OF TH E CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO THE COORDINATOR FOR THE COMMISSION ON AGING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY: WHEREAS,.the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, has previously enacted Ordinance No. 82-30 on May 3, 1982; and WHEREAS, Section 1 of the.aforesaid Ordinance enacted Section 147.02(a)(3) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfielc7 Village, Ohio, establishing the position of Coordinator for the Commission on Aging; and WHEREAS, since the enactment of Ordinance 82-30 the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, has enacted Ordinance No. 85-25 establishing the position of Humari Services Director; and WHEREAS, the position of Human Services Director as established in Ordinance No. 85-25 in newly created Section 131.05 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio includes, in Subsection 131.05(d), the duty of conducting and coorc7inating the activities of the Commission on Aging; and WHEREAS, the enactment of Section 131.05 imposes upon the Human Services Director the duties pertaining to the Commission on Aging that were formerly imposed on the Coordinator of the Commission on Aging thereby dispensing with the need for the Coordinator; now, therefore, . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section l. Section 147.02(a)(3) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, as created by Ordinance No. 82-30 is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 2. That the Council finds anc3 determines that all formal actions of this Council reiating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that the action taken herein dispenses with a position in the municipality that is no longer necessary and will make for.more effective government. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members
