CAR1VIEN - <br />Mayor J!J L3 1198 7 <br />MA'y ok'S OFFICE <br />MAYFIELD VILLqGQ <br />Donna Heath, Clerk of Council n H10 44143 <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio <br />REa Proposed Charter Amendment (Ordinance No. 87-23) <br />Dear ponna: <br />Following is the format to be used in order to advertise the proposed <br />Charter Amendment contained in Ordinance No. 87-23: <br />LEGAL NOTICE <br />Please take notice that the following proposed amendment <br />to Article V, Section 4 of the Charter of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio will appear on the ballot at the General Election to <br />be held on Tuesday, November 3, 1987: <br />(Insert Proposed Charter Amendment) <br />You should then insert the complete text of the proposed Charter <br />Amendrnent which you will find in Section 1(A) of Ordinance No. 87-23. <br />You need not include the ballot language. Please be reminded that the <br />Legal Notice must be published once a week for two (2) consecutive <br />weeks with the first publication being at east fifteen (15) days <br />prior to the election. <br />As for the mailing to each residence in the municipality you can use <br />the same format as set forth hereinabove or the Mayor and Council can <br />include their own languageo The newspaper advertisement meets the <br />Constitutional requirements for a Charter Amendment so the mailing is <br />an additional notice and need not follow any par'ticular format, <br />If I can be of any further assistance to you please feel free to call. <br />in erely, <br />I, Director of Law <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio <br />DCFodmk
