RESOLUTION N0. 87- 34 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF LES <br />FOLTZ AS A PART-TIME SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE, <br />ESTABLISHING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Les Foltz has served Mayfield Village as a Service <br />Department employee for thirty (30) years and as Service Director for <br />approximately twenty (20) years; and <br />WHEREAS, Les Foltz has recently retired from the full-time <br />employ of the Village for certain health and personal reasons; and <br />WHEREAS, Les Foltz has expressed a desire to continue his <br />association with the Village on a part-time basis; and <br />WHEREAS, Les Foltz has experience and skills that have been <br />a valuable asset to Mayfield Village over the years and the Mayor and <br />Council are desirous of retaining that asset for the benefit of the <br />community, even if only on a part-time basis; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The appointment of Les Foltz as a part-time <br />Service Department employee is hereby confirmed. <br />Section 2. Les Foltz shall be compensated at the rate of <br />Fifteen Dollars (515.00) per hour not to exceed four hundred seventy <br />two (472) hours per calendar year. The hours of work and the duties <br />performed shall be at the discretion, supervision and control of the <br />Service Director. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto. it shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than four (4) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or <br />
