RESOLUTION N0. 87- 49 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING JONES EQUIPMENT, TO BE THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE <br />MUNICIPALITY OF A TRUCK MOUNTED SALT SPREADER IN <br />AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($4,500.00), AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID EQUIPMENT, REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Jones Equipment is hereby declared <br />to be the lowest and best bidder for the sale to the municipality of a <br />truck mounted salt spreader. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a purchase agreement with Jones <br />Equipment in an amount not to exceed Four Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($9,500.00) provided that such purchase agreement is in <br />accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the purchase made herein is necessary to maintain <br />effective governmental services. It shall therefore take effect <br />immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than four <br />(4) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise <br />
