RESOLUTION N0. 87- 56 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE WALTER H. DRANE COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS ($2,925.60) FOR THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE, INCLUDING SHIPPING AND HANDLING, OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE BUNDRED (1,500) BOOKLETS CONTAINING THE CHARTER OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, an amendment to the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio, adopted by the electorate on November 4, 1986 requires that whenever the Charter of the municipality is amended pursuant to the recommendations made and submitted to the electorate by a duly elected Charter Review Commission the Mayor and Council shall cause revised copies of the Charter to be printed and distributed to every residence within the municipality; and WHEREAS, the same Charter amendment as referred to herein- above requires that additional copies of the revised Charter be kept at the Village Hall and be made available upon request of any resident; and WHEREAS, several amendments to the Charter of Mayfield pillage, including the one referred to hereinabove, were adopted by the electorate on November 4, 1986; and WHEREAS, in order to comply with the provisions of the Charter, as amended, the Mayor and Council ordered one thousand five hundred (1,500) Charter booklets for distribution to every residence within the municipality and to keep additional copies on hand at the Village Hall; and WHEREAS, the cost of the aforesaid purchase, including shipping and handling, is Two Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Five Dollars (52,925.60); now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. and directed to pay t Thousand Nine Hundred as the total purchase thousand five hundred Charter. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized ~ The Walter H. Drane Company the sum of Two Twenty Five Dollars and Sixty Cents (52,925.60) price, including shipping and handling, for one (1,500) booklets containing the Mayfield Village Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
