RESOLUTION N0. 87- 64 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACTION OF COUNCIL IN AWARDING A CONTRACT TO NEAT-LINE COMPANY, INC. FOR THE STRIPING OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY FIVE DOLLARS TWENTY TWO CENTS ($3,845.22) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Neat-Line Company, Inc. submitted a proposal to the municipality for the striping of certain streets in the amount of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Five Dollars Twenty Two Cents (63,845.22); and WHEREAS, the Council, at its regular meeting on July 20, 1987, was desirous of retaining the services of Neat-Line Company, Inc, in order to stripe the streets of the municipality in order to provide for more effective traffic control; and WHEREAS, the Council, by motion, authorized the contract with Neat-Line Company, Inc. and is desirous of ratifying that action by formal action of Council; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLV ED BY TAE COUNCIL OF P9AYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. The action of the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in authorizing, by Motion, a contract with Neat-Line Company, Inc. for the striping of certain streets within the municipality in an amount not to exceed Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Five Dollars Twenty Two Cents (53,845.22) is hereby ratified. Section 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Neat-Line Company, Inc. in an amount not to exceed that specified hereinabove for the striping of certain streets within the municipality, provided said contract is in accordance with the proposal upon which the bid was received. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto.
