RESOLUTION NO. 87- 67 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT <br />OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR PARTICIPATION <br />BY THE VILLAGE IN THE TEMPORARY EMERGENCY FOOD <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WAEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio are <br />desirous of participating in the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance <br />Program; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLV ED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract for participation by the <br />Village in the temporary emergency food assistance program for the <br />period October 1, 1987 through September 30, 1988. <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the contract must be signed and returned to the <br />Division of Suburban Government Surplus Foods on or before October 15, <br />1987. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to Council <br />and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by <br />law. <br />First Reading: 9/21/87 <br />Second Reading: Suspended <br />Third Reading: Suspended <br />PASSED: Septembe 1, 1987 <br />APPROVED• ~• <br />• Fred N.
