{-A1L£D <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-71 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Councilman Lawrence J. Flynn <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A CONCORD <br />CONVEYOR-TYPE TAILGATE BERMER FROM JONES EQUIPMENT <br />AND LEASING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR THOUSAND <br />NINE HUNDRED NINETY FIVE DOLLARS ($4,995.00) AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLV ED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized to execute a purchase agreement with Jones Equipment and <br />Leasing, Inc. in the amount of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Five <br />Dollars ($4,995.00) for the purchase of a Concord Conveyor-Type <br />Tailgate Bermer. <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the equipment purchase authorized herein is necessary <br />to maintain safe and effective traffic control within the munici- <br />pality. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by <br />the affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />First Reading: 10/19/87 <br />Second Reading: 11/16/87 <br />Third Reading <br />PASSED: <br />APPROV ED <br />Fred N.
