M.V. ORDINANCE N0. 88-1 <br />Page -4- <br />2929.11. Additionally, the court may order the vicious <br />dog to be humanely destroyed by a licensed veterinarian, <br />the County Dog Warden or the County Humane Society. <br />(3) A misdemeanor of the first degree if the dog causes injury, <br />other than killing or serious injury, to any person. <br />Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02. <br />(f) Whoever violates subsection (c) hereof is guilty of a misdemeanor <br />of the first degree. Punishment shall be as provided in Section <br />698.02. <br />Section 2. Existing Section 505.11 of the Codified <br />Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio is hereby repealed. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto.
