Whenever different or additional uniform items are required <br />due to the promotion of a full-time member of the Police or Fire <br />Department the municipality shall purchase those items for which <br />receipted bills are presented together with an approval for <br />payment from the Chief of the Department. <br />9. Each full-time member of the Service Department shall be <br />reimbursed for work clothing purchased in an amount not to exceed <br />Three Hundred Fifty Dollars (5350.00) per year. The Finance <br />Director is authorized to make such distributions during January <br />of each year. Receipted bills evidencing the purchases will be <br />submitted to the Building Commissioner for his approval and then <br />on the Finance Director for payment. The uniform allowance <br />stated herein may also be used for uniform maintenance. <br />10. Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be <br />compensated in addition to the salary set forth in Section 1, for <br />attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the <br />police officer is not on duty. The police officer under these <br />circumstances shall be paid at the officer°s regular hourly rate <br />as set forth in subsection (a) hereinabove and shall receive a <br />minimum of two (2) hours of such additional compensation. <br />11. In the event that a police officer, firefighter or service <br />department employee is required to report for any duties other <br />than those on his regular shift then such employee shall be <br />compensated for such additional duties at his regular hourly rate <br />of pay as set forth in subsection (A) hereinabove. Under these <br />circumstances each such employee shall be paid a minimum of two <br />(2) hours additional compensation. All overtime shall be <br />approved in advance by the Mayor unless there exists an emergency <br />that threatens the health, safety, and welfare of the <br />municipality. <br />12. There shall be no uniform allowance or maintenance for <br />part-time police dispatchers. <br />C. Longevity Schedule <br />1. 10Years of service" shall be defined as the total number of <br />twelve month periods of service completed on or bef ore December <br />31st of each year. Each twelve month period used to compute <br />years of service commences on the anniversary date of the <br />employee's first date of employment and ends on the last day <br />prior to the employee's next consecutive anniversary date. <br />2. The only service that shall be used to compute longevity <br />pay shall be years of service as a full-time employee of <br />Mayfield Village. <br />3. Each full-time employee of the municipality shall be <br />entitled to longevity pay increases in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br />
