7 Architectural Review Board 1305.081 <br />1305.04 QUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS. <br />Each member of the Architectural Review Board shall preferably be a registered <br />architect duly registered and authorized to practice in the State of Ohio, and shall <br />have been actively engaged in such practice for a period of not less than five years <br />prior to his or her appointment to the Board, .and shall be a resident of this- Municipality. <br />Council, by a majority vote thereof, may waive the requirement that a member be a <br />resident of this Municipality or a registered architect for the term of such member's <br />appointment. (Ord. 74-48. Passed 1-2-75. ) <br />1305.05 COMPENSATION. <br />Each member of the Architectural Review Board shall be paid twenty-five dollars <br />($25.00) per meeting. (Ord. 86-3.1. Passed 12-15-86.) <br />1305.06 CONFLICT OF INTEREST. <br />No member or alternate member of the Architectural Review Board shall participate <br />in the review of any work of which he or any partner or professional associate is the <br />author or in which he or they may have any direct or indirect financial interest. <br />(Ord. 74-48. Passed 1-2-75.) <br />1305.07 PURPOSES. <br />The purposes of the Architectural Review Board are to protect property on which <br />buildings or structures are constructed or altered, to maintain the high character of <br />community development, and to protect real estate within the Municipality from impair- <br />ment or destruction of value, by regulating according to proper architectural and <br />engineering principles, the exterior design, use of materials, finished grade, lines, <br />dimensions, location and orientation of all new buildings or structures hereafter <br />erected, and the moving, alteration, improvement, repair or adding to, in whole or in <br />part, of all existing buildings. or structures. The Board shall exercise its powers and <br />perform its duties for the accomplishment of such purposes only. <br />(Ord. 87-24. Passed 10-19-87.) <br />1305.08 AUTHORITY. <br />The Architectural Review Board shall have and is hereby vested with authority <br />to exercise the powers and perform the duties herein provided, and shall have the <br />powers to make its own rules of procedure, with the following limitations: <br />(a) One member of the Board shall be elected chairman of the Board by the <br />members thereof, and shall be responsible for the proper administration <br />of its duties. <br />(b) (EDITOR'S NOTE: This subsection was repealed by Ordinance 87-24, passed <br />October 19, 1987.) <br />(c) Its quorum shall consist of three or more members. <br />(d) Its official action shall require the affirmative vote of three or more <br />members of the Board. (Ord. 74-48. Passed 1-2-75.) <br />(e) The Building Commissioner shall attend all meetings of the Board. <br />(Ord. 87-24. Passed 10-19-87.) <br />1305.081 SECRETARY. <br />The Municipality shall provide the Architectural Review.
