1309.02 BUILDING CODE 12 <br />1309.02 PERMIT; CERTIFICATION OF COSTS. <br />Where the permit requires the cost of the work done under the permit, such costs shall <br />be the actual cost as certified by the owner or authorized representative of the owner, and <br />as approved by the Building Commissioner. The Commissioner may, at any time up to <br />three months after the completion of the building,. require the submission of authoritative <br />estimates or actual cost data to substantiate the estimated cost stated in the application. <br />for permit. Passed 2-18-74. ) <br />1309.03 REFUND OF PERMIT FEES. <br />Whenever the work, for which a permit has been issued, has been abandoned and is not . <br />to be done, the permit may be returned to the Building Commissioner for cancellation and <br />after a deduction of five dollars ($5.00) from the permit fee has been made, the balance <br />of the permit fee, if any, shall be refunded. <br />(Ord. 74-15. Passed 2-18-74. ) <br />1309.04 LUMP SUM PERMIT FEE; EXCEPTIONS. <br />(a) Single-Family Dwelling. Far construction of a new single-family dwelling house, <br />a total lump sum permit fee of three hundred dollars ($300.00) shall be charged for all <br />permits issued pursuant to the original plans as approved. This will include the cost <br />of all permits issued for construction, original heating and air conditioning, plumbing <br />and electrical work, certificate of occupancy and final inspection fee, but will not include <br />the hereinafter described fee of the Municipal Engineer when he is requested by the <br />Building Commissioner to set the grade, nor will it include the cost of additional inspections <br />made by the Building Commissioner to secure compliance with the Municipal ordinances, <br />as hereinafter set forth, nor will it include the cost of ~a permit for the construction of <br />detached garages and accessory buildings, for which permit fees shall be charged in the <br />manner hereinafter set forth. While the permit holder will still be required to obtain <br />permits from the Building .Commissioner for the separate portions of the work hereinafter <br />described to make certain. that the work will be properly done, there will be no separate <br />permit fee for same when the total lump sum permit fee is paid. <br />(b) Two-Family Dwellings. For construction of new two-family dwelling houses, the <br />same provisions will apply as provided in subsection (a) hereof pertaining to single-family <br />dwelling houses, except that the lump sum fee for the building shall be four hundred <br />dollars ($400.00). (Ord. 84-33. Passed 6-18-84. ) <br />(c) Apartment Buildings. For the construction of apartment buildings, whether high-rise <br />or otherwise, the same provisions will apply as provided in subsection (a) hereof pertaining <br />to single-family dwelling houses, except that the total lump sum permit fee for each separate <br />apartment building shall be computed by adding one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first <br />floor of the building, plus seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each .additional floor, plus fifty <br />dollars ($50.00) for each suite in the building. This total lump sum fee will include the <br />cost of the original certificate of occupancy, but not the cost of subsequent annual inspections. <br />In addition, there shall be paid one dollar ($1.'00) for each 100 square feet or fraction <br />thereof of garage floor space, whether the garage is attached to the building or not. <br />(Ord. 74-15.
