525.14 GENERAL OFFENSES CODE 78 <br />525.14 UNAUTIā¬ORIZED DISPLAY OF LAW ENFORCEMENT EMBLEMS ON MOTOR <br />VEIiIC LE S. <br />(a) No person who is not entitled to do so shall knowingly display 'on a motor vehicle <br />the emblem of a law enforcement agency or an organization of law enforcement officers. <br />(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of the unlawful display of the emblem of a <br />law enforcement agency or an organization of law enforcement officers, a minor <br />misdemeanor. (ORC 2913.441) <br />525.15 CONFLICT OF INTEREST. <br />(a) No member of Council or any officer or employee of the Municipality shall: <br />(1) Have a direct or indirect financial interest in, or act directly or indirectly <br />as attorney, agent, broker or employee, or in any other capacity in behalf <br />of any private person, firm or corporation interested directly or indirectly <br />in any manner whatsoever in any contract, work or business, or the sale <br />or acquisition of any property, the cost of which is payable from Municipal <br />funds; or, <br />(2) Engage in the practice of law or represent or appear in behalf of an indi- <br />vidual or individuals before any court in any matter or controversy in which <br />the Municipality is or may become a party, except on behalf of the Municipality <br />as an officer or employee; or, <br />(3) Appear before any board or commission of the Municipality as counsel, <br />attorney or agent, except in behalf of a constituent or constituents without <br />compensation therefor, or in the performance of public obligations or <br />official duties; or, <br />(4) Use or permit the use of Municipally owned vehicles, equipment, materials <br />' or property, for personal convenience or profit, except when such services <br />are available to the public generally; or, <br />(5) Solicit or accept any gift or special services or privilege from any person, <br />firm or corporation with whom he transacts or expects to transact any <br />Municipal business. <br />(b) No person within a period of one year after termination of his services as an <br />officer or employee of the Municipality shall appear before any board or commission <br />of the Municipality as counsel, attorney or agent for or on behalf of any person, firm <br />or corporation, or receive compensation for any services rendered thereto, in relation <br />to any matter which was under his charge during the period of his services as such officer <br />or employee. No person after termination of his services as an officer or employee <br />of the Municipality shall accept employment as a lawyer in any matter which he has <br />investigated or passed upon while in such office or employ, or engage in the practice of <br />law before any court in any litigation in which the Municipality is a party which involves <br />any such matter.
