AN ORDINANCE AMffi~IDING SECTION 1309.01 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, Offi0, PERTAIl+IING TO THE CALCULATION OF FLOOR AREA AND DECLARING AN ErZERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 1309.01 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material appears like th~$; AND NEW MATERIAL APPEARS LIKE THIS.) 1309.01 CALCULATING FLOOR AREA; FLOOR SPACE DEFINED. The aggregate floor area shall be the sum of the gross horizontal areas of the several floors, including basements, cellars and attics that are at least 50 per- cent habitable. FOR PURPOSES OF A SINGLE-DWELLING HOUSE, ALL HORIZONTAL DIMENSIONS INCLUDING ENCLOSED PORCHES, SHALL BE TAKEN FROM THE INTERIOR FACES OF THE WALLS. FOR OTHER BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES, all horizontal dimensions shall be taken from the exterior faces of walls. The floor space of a building or other structure as used herein means the floor space for each floor, including basements where used for business or by the public or as live-in quarters, attach garages, breezeways and covered porches. SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, in whole or in part, are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
