No more than six (6) weeks, one (1) day of vacation time for more than <br />twenty-five (25) years of service. <br />11. The head of each department shall determine the schedule of vacations <br />for the empl oyee s thereof. <br />12. "Year of Emp loym ent" as used in this Section pe rtaining to vacation <br />schedules me ans years of employrnent with Mayfie ld Village only. <br />However, any emp loyee of the Municipality who h as been previously <br />employed by the State of Ohio or any of its pol itical subdivisions is <br />entitled to have such prior service counted as years of employment for <br />the purpose of c omputing vacation time herein. <br />13. For purposes of this Section in computing a day for members of the <br />Fire Department one (1) day shall be equivalent to six (6) hours. <br />For the purpose of providing an example only, a member of the Fire <br />Department with five (5) years of service shall be entitled, pursuant <br />to this Ordinance, to vacation time in the amount of two (2) weeks <br />plus one (1) day, which shall be computed in accordance with this <br />Subsection as five (5) tours of duty plus six (6) hours. An employee <br />in the Fire Department with six (6) years of service is entitled to <br />vacation time of two (2) weeks plus two (2) days, which shall be <br />computed as five (5) tours of duty plus twelve (12) hours. <br />E. Optional Holiday <br />1. In addition to those paid holidays authorized by Ordinance, each <br />permanent full-time employee shall be entitled to three (3) "optional <br />days" as paid holidays. <br />2. Any new permanent full-time employee hired on or after January 1, <br />1989, for the purposes of computing "optional days" shall be entitled <br />to the following optional days in their year of employment:
