03/30/89 <br />? <br />- ORDINANCE N0. 89- 15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council <br />AN ORDINANC$ <br />AZffiiIDING SBCTION 351.12(a) and 351.12(d) <br />OF THE CODIFISD ORDINANCFS OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINIlNG TO SPECIAL PARRIldG LOCATIONS AND PRIVIT_7GES <br />FOR THE HANDICAPPED AND DECLARIlNG AN EMSIZGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />S$CTION 1. Section 351.12 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Vil- <br />lage, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material appears <br />like this and new material appears like THIS.) <br />(a) Special parking locations and privileges for the handicapped sha11 <br />be provided by all offices, commercial establishments and other facilities of <br />any kind or nature where parking is provided, whether public or private, and <br />whether owned, rented or leased, such parking locations to be designated in <br />conjunction with the Police Department. Such locations shall be reasonably <br />close to exits, entrances, elevators and ramps and shall be designated by the <br />International Wheel Chair symbol being painted thereon nr AND affixed to AN <br />UPRIGHT sign adjacent thereto. <br />sp eaeh-???-t-y--te-ta-l-paxkixi$ <br />(d) This section shall not be applicable to those premises where less <br />than fifty total parking spaces are provided. <br />(d) THE DESIGN AND TOTAL NUMBER OF PARKING SPACES FOR THE HANDICAPPED <br />PROVIDED UNDER SUBSECTION (a) SHALL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OHIO <br />BASIC BUILDING CODE AS ADOPTED BY SECTION 1329.01 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE. <br />SLCTION 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance, in <br />whole or in part, are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with <br />this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />,`
