M.V. ORDINANCE N0. 89- 30 <br />Page -4- <br />E. SHALL ORDINANCE N0. 89-27, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 1153.02(f) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES, <br />AND ELIMINATING DOCTORS' AND DENTISTS' OFFICES AND <br />RESEARCH LABORATORIES AS SPECIAL PERMIT USES IN A <br />CLASS U-6 DISTRICT, BE ADOPTED? <br />SECTION 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections not <br />less that sixty (60) days prior to the regularly scheduled General Election on <br />November 7, 1989, in order to have the ballot issue contained herein placed on <br />the ballot for this said General Election and to take whatever other steps are <br />necessary in order to comply with all directives of the said Board of Elections <br />in order to secure placement on the ballot as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 3. The Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to confer <br />with the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio and the Secretary of State <br />for the State of Ohio, regarding.the ballot question and to make any changes <br />necessary to comply with current election law so long as the substance of any <br />issue is not changed. In the event of the necessity of a substantial change of <br />any issue, the Council shall.first be consulted. <br />SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />either mail a copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinances at least thirty <br />(30) days prior to the date of the election as set forth in this Ordinance to <br />each elector of the municipality whose name appears upon the registration books <br />for the last regular election held in the municipality or shall cause the full <br />text of the proposed Ordinances to be published once a week for not less than <br />two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the munici- <br />pality with the first publication being at least fifteen (15) days prior to the <br />election. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the enactment of this Ordinance have been taken at open <br />meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its <br />Committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the require- <br />ments of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
