11/20/89 _ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89-.47 <br />„ INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 1333.01(a) OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE 1990 EDITION OF <br />THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE SO AS TO INCORPORATE IN <br />SAID SECTION ALL AMENDMENTS TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1333.01(a) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material <br />appears like -tYri-s and new material appears like THIS) <br />CHAPTER 1333 <br />National Electrical Code <br />1333.01 Adoption; Enforcement <br />r . <br />(a) EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1990, there is hereby adopted by Council <br />that certain Code know as the 19'&-7 1990 Edition of the National Electrical <br />Code and Article 700 of the National Fire Protection Association., as the same <br />are now constituted and as amended from time-to-time. <br />SECTION 2. Al1 prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, in <br />whole or in part, are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with <br />this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the amendment - <br />authorized herein is necessary to maintain effective Building Code enforce- <br />ment.
