RESOLUTION NO. 78-15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTIDN OF SPECIAL COMMENDATION TO FIREFIGHTER <br />AI,BERT STUART FOR EXCEPTIONAL EFFORT AND BRAVERY IN <br />THE LINE OF DUTY <br />WHEREAS, in the early morning hours of February 28, 1978, a <br />large fire in the Eastqate Shopping Center was reported to the Mayfield <br />Village Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to the call for aid, the Village Fire <br />Department including Firefighter ALBERT STUART moved to the location <br />of the fire; and <br />WHEREAS, Firefighter ALBERT STUART exhibiting his six years <br />of experience in fighting fires, fought the blaze without regard for <br />his own safety and was later hospitalized for injuries suffered in <br />the line of duty; and <br />WHEREAS, this unselfish and brave act deserves special recog- <br />nition; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO. <br />THAT: <br />Section 1. On behalf of the Mayor and the grateful residents <br />of the Village of Mayfield Village, the Council unanimously offers this <br />Resolution of Special Commendation to Firefighter ALBERT STUART of the <br />Division of Fire. <br />Section 2. The Clerk of Council i.s directed to prepare two <br />original copies of this Resolution, one copy to be presented to Fire- <br />fighter ALBERT STUART as a token of our appreciation and one copy to <br />be placed with the permanent records of the City as a lasting tribute <br />to his efforts. <br />Section 3. <br />time allowed by law. <br />PASSED: March 20, 1978 <br />ATTEST: <br />APPROVED; <br />This Resolution shall take effect at the earliest <br />DATE: 3 49n4 7R
