RESOLUTION N0. 78-42 <br />gy; Mr. Bennett <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE FIRE <br />CHIEF TO SELL THE 1957 FORD JOHN BEAN PUMPER <br />TRUCK AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE SURPLUS <br />PROPERTY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Allan J. Hejcl, Fire Chief of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, has declared the 1957 Ford, John Bean, Pumper <br />Truck to be surplus property; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Green Township Board of Trastees have <br />bid $2,500.00 for the purchase of said vehicle; and, <br />WHEREAS, Green Township is a governmental body thereby <br />disposing of the need to advertise for bids; and, <br />WHEREAS, in any event, the Green Township Board of <br />Trustees offerred the h•sghest bid; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The 1957 Ford, John Bean, Pumper Truck, <br />currently property of the Village Fire Department, is hereby <br />declared surplus. <br />Section 2. Fire Chief Allan J. Hejcl is authorized <br />to sell said veh cle to the Green Township Board of Trustees as <br />is for the sum of $2,500.00. <br />Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract for the sale of such vehicle as appears in Section <br />2. This ordinance shall operate as such contract unless either <br />party requests a more particularized document. <br />Section 4. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village in that the immediate dis- <br />position of surplus property is essential to the efficient oper- <br />ation of Village departments so that such can be quickly replaced. <br />This ordinance shall therefore take effect immediately upon <br />passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members <br />elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at
