ORDINANCE N0. 79-8 <br />BY: <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE <br />APPOINTMENT OF AN ASSISTANT LAW DIRECTOR <br />(PROSECUTOR) AND ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION <br />THEREFORE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor's appointment of Vincent A. Feudo <br />as Assistant Li a D rector (Prosecutor) for Mayfield Village is <br />hereby confirmed. <br />Section 2. Effective January 1, 1979, the Assistant <br />Law Director Prosecutor) shall be compensated at the rate of <br />Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($525.00) per month for all <br />services rendered to the municipality in such capacity with the <br />exception of actual attendance at trials. While in attendance <br />at trials in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court.on criminal charges <br />broughtby Mayfield Village either under its own Codified Ordinances <br />or under the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, and including <br />preliminary hearings in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court on felony <br />charges arising out of Mayfield Village, the Assistant Law <br />Director (Prosecutor) shall be compensated at the rate of Forty- <br />Two Dollars ($42.00) per hour, payable upon submission of <br />reasonably detailed billings indicating the name of the case, the <br />date and nature of the proceeding and the time spent. It is under- <br />stood that such,services are rendered by the Assistant Law Director <br />(Prosecutor) as an independent contractor and that he is not an <br />employee of the municipality. <br />Section 3. The Assistant Law Director (Prosecutor) shall be <br />responsible directly to the Mayor and shall not be under the <br />supervision of the Law Director. <br />Section 4. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary to provide for the preservation of the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village in that it provides <br />for necessary government services. It shall therefore become effective <br />immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than <br />five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor <br />or otherwise at the earliesttime allowed by law. <br />APPROVED: , - ?.?? ?s'd?rit of Council <br />PASSED: ? <br />ber G.
