ORDINANCE N0. 79-15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Councilman Bennett <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 943 OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Chapter 943 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield Village shall be amended to enact new Section 943.03 as <br />follows: <br />943.03 Sewer Tie-ins; Permit required. <br />No person shall construct, install or alter any storm or <br />sanitary sevzr tie-ins from an inspection tee to the <br />wall o£ a house or other structure within the municipality <br />unless the same are constructed or altered in accordance <br />with the following requirements and regulations; <br />(a) No construction or alteration shall commence until a <br />permit is £irst obtained in accordance with Section 1309.05 <br />of these Codified Ordinances. <br />(b) All such storm and sanitary sewer lines shall be <br />bedded and such bedding shall be a minimum of six inches <br />in depth. The bedding aggragate shall be in compliance <br />with the Uniform Standards for Sewerage Improvements. <br />(c) All such storm and sanitary sewer lines shall be <br />inspected by the Building Department before such lines <br />are covered. A failure to obtain the necessary inspection <br />desiqnated herein shall require the contractor to expose <br />the entire line of any such installation to provide such <br />inspection. <br />(d) Any such sewer line shall be covered with not less <br />than twelve inches of aggragate in compliance with the <br />Uniform Standards for Sewerage Improvements prior to the <br />use of any excavated materials above such line. <br />(e) Any such sanitary line shall have a 90°E11 placed <br />at the end and turned upward with a clay or plastic <br />stopper placed therein that is clearly visible from the <br />grade and the stopper shall not be removed until the line <br />is to be connected to the plumbing of the house or <br />other structure. <br />(f) During excavation a temporary four-inch line shall be <br />extended from the storm sewer under the footer to serve as <br />a temporary drain.
