ORDINANCE N0. 79-28 <br />BY: Mr. Boger <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />THE PURCHASE OF AN EMERGENCY RESCUE <br />AMBULANCE VEHICLE. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, <br />according to law, only one bid was received for an emergency rescue <br />ambulance vehicle that conformed with the specifications upon which <br />the bid was advertised; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Horten Company is determined to be the <br />lowest and best bidder for the emergency rescue ambulance vehicle <br />in accordance with the advertisement for bid, pursuant to law, in <br />the amount o£ Forty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars <br />($41,997.00). <br />Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract with the Horten Company for the <br />purchase of an emergency rescue ambulance vehicle in the amount <br />specified hereinabove. Said contract shall be in accordance with <br />the specifications upon which the bid was received and shall be <br />approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the community in that it will insure a more prompt delivery date <br />thereby facilitating and promoting the continuation of e£fective <br />municipal services.
