RESOLUTION NO. 79-55 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING JOHN D. RELIC, DIRECTOR OP FINANCE. WHEREAS, JOHN D. RELIC served as Director of Finance in Mayfield Village., Ohio, from January l, 1974 until his untimely death on June 21, 1979; and WHEREAS, JOHN D. RELIC and his family were long-time residents of Mayfield Village; and WHEREAS, during his tenure as Director of Finance JOHN D. RELIC brought to the financial matters of the municipality wisdom and efficiency which were major factors in keeping the municipality on sound financial footing; and WHEREAS, JOHN D. RELIC assisted the Council and administration in d eveloping a financial plan £or the construction of capital improvements necessary to a fast-growinq Village and was in the process of implementing this plan at the time of his death; and WHEREAS, JOHN D. RELIC was a modest man whose contributions, though lasting, would otherwise tend to go unnoticed;now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. This Council, for itself and on behalf of the administri tion and the residents of Mayfield Village officially commemorates the servic of JOHN D. RELIC to the Village and expresses official condolences to his family. Section 2. In appreciation for the efforts and accomplishments of JOHN D. RELIC, duplicate original copies of this Resolution shall be prepared. One such original shall be delivered to Mr. Relic's widow as a sma11 token of the great regard in which her husband, a devoted father, was held by his colleagues. The other original copy shall be placed by the Clerl with the permanent records of Mayfield Village, Ohio as a lasting tribute to JOAN D. RELIC. Section 3.
