Part-time Clerk or" Recording Secretary -0- 4.16 Section Z. Uniform Allowan orn and Maintenance. (a) Each newly employed male member of the Police Departmenl- shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchased by him for use in his employment in an amount not exceeding $400.00. Each newly empl.oyed female member of the Police Department shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchasecl by her for use in her employment- in an amount not exceec7ing $300.00. , (b) Annually, thereafter each male member of the Police Department shall bc reimbursed for unifonns purchased in an amount not to exceed $300.00 per year, cach female member sliall be reimburscd -- for uniforms purchased in an amount not to excecd $250.00 per year. The uniform allowance rnay also be used for uniform maintenance. (c) The P'inance Director is herebp authorized to reimburse all member.s of thc Police Department for expenditures made in accordance with Section 3(a) and (b) providec3, however, that receipted bills evidunciny the purchases are submitted together with an approval for payment by the Chief of Police. The Finance Director is further authorized to make such distributions during January and July of each year for L-he prior sir.-monl-h period. ' (d) Subparagraph (c) of this Ordinance shall be effective July 1, 1979. (e)' Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary schedule set forth in Section 1 for attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not on duL-y. The police officer under these circum- stances shall be paid the equivalcnt of two hours additional compensat.ir computed at the officer's regular hourly rate provided in Section 1.
