ORDINANCE N0. 74- 4 <br />Introduced by: BptdonaL'o <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING INSULATION REQUIREPiLNTS <br />OF DWELLING STRUCTURES <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, TIiAT: <br />Section 1. Every new dwelling structure, or every new addition to a dwelling <br />structure shall have properly installed thermal insulation with the resistance <br />factor R-19 (6" thickness), in or under the roof above the uppermost ceiling of <br />the structure, and shall have properly installed thermal insulation with a <br />resistance factor R-11 (3;j" thickness) in the outermost exterior walls. <br />Section 2. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the preservation of the public welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village <br />of Mayfield, and provided it receives the two-thirds vote of all members of Council <br />elected thereto, shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its <br />passage, otherwise to be in full force and ef£ect from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />Passed this 21st day of :Tanuary, 1974. <br />ATTEST: L , <br />(9 ) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
