-z- <br />other identifying features of the bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle as well as any <br />other pertinent information as may be required. <br />(d) Upon receipt of the completed application for registration and the <br />required fee of $1.00, the Police Department shall issue a reflectorized license decal <br />valid during the residence of the applicant within the municipality or the remaining <br />life of the bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle. Upon sale of a licensed bicycle, <br />adult tricycle or unicycle the licensee shall remove the license decal. <br />(e) License decals which are defaced or destroyed, shall be replaced by <br />the owner for a fee of $1.00. <br />(f) No person shall maliciously remove, destroy, mutilate or alter any <br />serial number of any bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle or license decal licensed <br />hereunder. <br />(g) The Police Department shall be notified of any change of address of <br />the owner of a registered bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle within the municipality. <br />(h) Reciprocity will be granted between S.P.A.N. municipalities in regard <br />to license decals, when an owner o£ a licensed bicycle, tricycle or unicycle moves <br />from one municipality to another. <br />Section 5. A_pze: <br />(a) No person under the age of 11 years shall operate a bicycle, tricycle <br />or unicycle on a street, highway or boulevard which has sidewalks. <br />(b) It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 11 years to ride <br />a bicycle, tricycle or unicycle across or through any intersection. Such intersections <br />are to be crossed by walking the bicycle, tricycle or unicycle across or through the <br />intersection. <br />Section 6. Safety Equipment Package: <br />(a) Every bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle in use in the night season <br />shall be equipped with a lamp on the front which shall emit a white light visible <br />from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front with a red reflector on the rear <br />of a type which shall be visible from all distances from 50 feet to 300 feet to the <br />rear when directly in front of a lawful lower beams of headlamps on a motor vehicle. <br />A lamp emitting a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear may be <br />used in addition to the red reflector. Every bicycle, tricycle or unicycle operated <br />during the time from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise and <br />at any other time when there is not sufficient natural light to render discemible <br />persons, vehicles and substantial objects on the highway at a distance of 500 feet <br />ahead shall display lights and reflectors as described above. <br />(b) No person shall operate a bicycle, adult tricycle or unicycle unless <br />it is equipped with a bell or other warning device capable of giving a signal audible <br />for a distance of at least 100 feet, except that a bicycle, tricycle or unicycle <br />shall not be equipped with nor shall any person use on a bicycle, tricycle or unicycle <br />any siren or whistle. (c) Every bicycle or adult tricycle shall be equipped with a brake which <br />will enable the operator to make the brake wheel skid on dry, level, clean pavement. <br />
