r , <br />-z- <br />purposes, subject to the written approval of the Building Inspector, <br />who shall not give his approval if he finds that such proposed fence <br />is unsafe or unsightly or that it obstructs necessary light and <br />air from adjacent property or that in some manner it does not conform <br />with the Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield.) On any side or rear <br />yard fence, the supporting rails and posts shall face the interior of <br />the property of the owner of said fence and shall not face the adjacent <br />property; the finished side (as contrasted with the rought or unfinished <br />side) of the fence shall face the property of the adjacent property <br />owner." <br />(c) Installation. All fence posts must be anchored securely in concrete. <br />(d) Permits. Application for a fence permit must be accompanied by a <br />plot plan showing location of the fence. <br />(e) Fees. A base permit of $5.00 plus $.O1 per lineal £oot shall be <br />paid to the Building Department prior to erection. <br />Section 2. Ordinance No. 773 is hereby repealed. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order that fences will <br />not be constructed which will deprive adjacent properties in residential districts <br />of needed light and air and will not cause such property to depreciate in value, <br />and this ordinance shall be in force and effect on and after the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this 21St day o£ OCtober , 1974. <br />ATTEST: <br />S ) Clerk-Treausrer
