ORDINANCE N0. 74-48 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Barclay <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 86, THE BUILDING CODE, <br />BY PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW <br />BOARD, FEES FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PLANS, REPEALING NOS. 618, <br />943 AND 980, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Board Established. <br />There is hereby established in the Village, an Architectural Review Board <br />which shall consist of five regular members appointed by the Mayor, for the following <br />terms: <br />(A) Two for a term expiring December 31, 1975;' <br />(B) 'Ltao for a term expiring December 31, 1976; <br />(C) One for a term expiring December 31, 1977. ' <br />All subsequent appointments to such Board shall be terms of three (3) years <br />each. <br />Section 2. Vacancy in Board. <br />In the event that any of the five (5) regular members of the Architectural <br />Review Boar dshall resign or for any reason be unable to complete his or her term of <br />office, then the Mayor shall fill such vacancy by appointment. The appointee sha11 <br />serve for the unexpired term. Such appointee shall have the qualifications set forth <br />in Section 6 of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. Removal of Members. <br />The Mayor may at any time remove any member of the Board for inefficiency, <br />neglect of duty, malfeasance, misfeasance or non feasance in office, incapacity or <br />incompetence, provided, however, that such removal from office shall become effec- <br />tive after confirmation by the affirmative vote of four members of the council. <br />Section 4. Qualification of Members. <br />Each member of the Architectural Review Board shall preferably be a registered <br />architect duly registered and authorized to practice in the State of Ohio, and shall <br />have been actively engaged in such practice for a period of not less than five (5) <br />years prior to his or her appointment to the Board, and shall be a resident of this <br />
