ORDINANCE N0. 74-48 Introduced by: Mr. Barclay AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 86, THE BUILDING CODE, BY PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD, FEES FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PLANS, REPEALING NOS. 618, 943 AND 980, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Board Established. There is hereby established in the Village, an Architectural Review Board which shall consist of five regular members appointed by the Mayor, for the following terms: (A) Two for a term expiring December 31, 1975;' (B) 'Ltao for a term expiring December 31, 1976; (C) One for a term expiring December 31, 1977. ' All subsequent appointments to such Board shall be terms of three (3) years each. Section 2. Vacancy in Board. In the event that any of the five (5) regular members of the Architectural Review Boar dshall resign or for any reason be unable to complete his or her term of office, then the Mayor shall fill such vacancy by appointment. The appointee sha11 serve for the unexpired term. Such appointee shall have the qualifications set forth in Section 6 of this ordinance. Section 3. Removal of Members. The Mayor may at any time remove any member of the Board for inefficiency, neglect of duty, malfeasance, misfeasance or non feasance in office, incapacity or incompetence, provided, however, that such removal from office shall become effec- tive after confirmation by the affirmative vote of four members of the council. Section 4. Qualification of Members. Each member of the Architectural Review Board shall preferably be a registered architect duly registered and authorized to practice in the State of Ohio, and shall have been actively engaged in such practice for a period of not less than five (5) years prior to his or her appointment to the Board, and shall be a resident of this
