<br />Section 10. Review of Plans and Specifications <br />The Architectural Review Board shall receive and promptly review and pass upon <br />all drawings, data, and reports filed in the Building Department, in the order filed <br />for the purposes set forth in this chapter, and according to rules and regulations <br />duly adopted and published by the Board for the operation of its business, which <br />rules and regulations shall not be inconsistent with the purposes of the Board or <br />the provisions of this ordinance. The Board shall immediately notify the Build3ng <br />Department in writing of action taken in each instance, and no building permit shall <br />be issued unless plans and specifications therefor have been approved in writing <br />by the Board. <br />Section 11. Fees for Submission of Plans. <br />All plans for new buildings or exterior alterations must be submitted to the <br />Board, together with a registration fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each accessory <br />building; Twenty Dollars ($20.00) £or each out building, garage, addition or al- <br />teration in residential areas; Thirty Five Dollars ($.35.00) for each single or two- <br />family dwelling house; Fifty Dollars ($50.00) Base Fee plus Five Dollars ($5.00) <br />for each 1,000 square feet or fraction thereof for all buildings and structures <br />other than those heretofore listed, which fee shall be collected by the Board and <br />paid to the Village Treasurer, before the Board will make any review. No building <br />permit shall be issued by the Building Inspector unless plans and specifications <br />for the building shall have been first approved in writing by the Board upon the <br />affirmative vote of a majority of its members present at a meeting of the Board at <br />which there is a quorum. <br />Plans must be submitted in triplicate and shall include the following: <br />1. Site and location plan, which shall show the existing adjacent finished <br />grades and proposed finished grades relative to street grade. The plans <br />should include sewer connectio.n elevations. <br />2. Basement or foundation plans. <br />3. All other floor plans. <br />4. All exterior elevations. <br />5. Roof plan for flat roo£ structures. <br />6. Sufficient scaled details to define the character of the design. <br />7. Location of garages and driveways should be shown on the plot plan. <br />8. All drawings shall be shown at a definite scale, as indicated, and <br />shall be reproduced at the scale down. The drawings and plans sub- <br />mitted shall be drawn as the building is proposed to be built. <br />A schedule of exterior materials, finish and colors, must be shown on the <br />drawings submitted. The Board may request samples of exterior materials. Plans <br />for remodelling buildings which affect the exterior appearance shall be accompanied <br />by a drawing sufficient to show the existing building or with photographs of the <br />existing building and surroundings. <br />- 3-
