Ordinance No. 74- 58 <br />Introduced by: COUnC11 as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE FULL-TIME <br />POSITION OF CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN EPiERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Commencing January 1, 1975, the office of Chief of the Fire <br />Department shall become a full-time position. <br />Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to name and appoint the Chief of the <br />Fire Department subject to the approval of the Council and to other provisions <br />of law. <br />Section 3. The Chief of the Fire Department shall have supervision and <br />charge of the operations and all other members of the Fire Department. <br />Section 4. The Chief of the Fire Department shall be paid the sum of <br />$ 14,200.00 per year in equal bi-monthly installments, plus such other benefits <br />as may from time to time be provided for employees of the municipality. <br />Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance <br />immediately necessary for the supervision of the public peace, health and safety, <br />such emergency existing by reason of the need to provide for the full-time direction <br />of the £ire department, wherefore, this is an emergency measure which shall be in <br />full force and effect from and immediately after passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed this 16th day of December, 1974. <br />ATTEST: <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL
