Ordinance No. 75-9 <br />Introduced by: 14r, Ficken <br />AN ORDItdANCE TO AMEND SECTION 31.6 OF ORDINANCE <br />N0. 960, AMENDING ORDINANCB N0. 159, THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, AS AMENDED BY <br />ORDINANCE N0. 71-36, BY CHANGING THE REQUIREMENTS <br />FOR OFF-STREET PARKING, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />N0. 73-4 <br />WHEREAS, Council finds that the off-street parking regulations in local <br />business districts should be strengthened, in accordance with the recommendations o£ <br />the Village Engineer. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE,COUNTY <br />OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 31.6 of Ordunance No. 960, entitled "Off-Street Parking <br />and Loading Regulations", as amended by Ordinance No. 71-36, is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />Sec. 31.6 OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING REGULATIONS <br />Off-street parking and off-street loading facilities shall be provided <br />as a condition precedent to the occupancy and maintenance of any use <br />whenever a building is constructed or altered. <br />a. Standards and Design - Parking Facilities <br />1. Off-street parking spaces <br />Not less than the following facilities shall be provided <br />whenever a building is constructed, a new use ic hereafter <br />established, an existing building is altered, which results <br />in an increase in the seating capacity or in floor area of <br />the building, or whenever the use of an existing building or <br />type of service or operation therein is changed. <br />Building & Use Minimum Space Required <br />Retail Stores, Services (Excluding Rest- <br />aurants, Bars, or Taverns) <br />(a) Less than 4,000 sq.ft. per unit <br />(b) 4,000-10,000 sq.ft. per unit <br />(c) 10,000 sq.ft. or greater unit <br />Restaurants, Bars, or Taverns <br />1 space per 125 sq.ft. <br />1 space per 100 sq.ft. <br />1 space per 100 sq.ft. <br />1 space per 50 sq.ft. of gross <br />floor area, or 1 space per 2 seats, <br />whichever is greater, with a min- <br />imum of 10 spaces, nlus one addi- <br />tional space per each employee. <br />
