provided, however, that receipted bills evidencing the purchases are submitted together <br />with an approval for payment by the Chief of Police. The Finance Director is further <br />authorized to make such distributions during January and July of each year for the <br />prior 6-month period. <br />(d) Sub-paragraph 3 of this Ordinance shall be effective July 1, 1975. <br />Section 4. Longevity Schedule <br />Each employee of the municipality shall be entitled to longevity pay increases <br />in accordance with the following schedule: <br />(a) For not less than five years or more than ten years' service, <br />$10.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(b) For not less than ten years nor more than fifteen years' service, <br />$20.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(c) For not less than fifteen years nor more than twenty years' service, <br />$30.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(d) For more than twenty years' service, $40.00 additional compensation <br />per month. <br />(e) Effective June 28, 1975, longevity pay increases shall be paid to employees <br />entitled to such additional compensation in December, 1975 £or the previous 13 pay <br />periods. Effective January 1, 1976, longevity pay increases will be paid annually <br />during the month of December. <br />Section 5. Vacation Schedule <br />(a) After one year of employment, each employee shall receive one week's <br />paid vacation per year. <br />(b) After two years of employment, each employee shall receive two week's <br />paid vacation per year. <br />(c) After ten years of employment, each employee shall receive three week's <br />paid vacation per year. <br />(d) After fifteen years of employment, each employee shall receive £our <br />week's paid vacation per year. <br />(e) After twenty years of employment, mch employee shall receive five week's <br />paid vacation per year. <br />Section 6. Optional Holiday <br />Each employee shall be entitled to one "optional day" as a paid holiday in <br />addition to those paid holidays authorized by existing ordinance, subject to the <br />approval of the employee's Department Head. <br />
