Flynn <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES FOR POLICE CALLS, PRO- <br />VIDING FOR A CONTRACT BETWEEN MAYFIELD VILLAGE AND THE <br />CITY OF MAYFIELD HEIGHTS COVERING SUCH SERVICE, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and the Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract for a period of one year, effective January 1, <br />1976, between Mayfield Village and the City of Mayfield Heights for radio broadcast <br />service through the Police Radio Station operated by Mayfield Heights, which shall <br />provide as follows: <br />(a) The cost of services rendered by the City of Mayfield Heights shall be <br />at the rate of $40.00 per month for the first 100 broadcast calls, whether originating <br />from a car or station. All broadcast calls in excess of 100 per month shall be charged <br />and paid for at the rate of $0.10 per call per month. <br />(b) All telephone calls made by the station at the request of a car will be <br />charged at $0.10 per call. <br />(c) If Mayfield Village lists the telephone number of May£ield Heights in the <br />telephone directory, a charge of $10.00 per month sha]:1 be made. <br />(d) LEADS computer service will be furnished at the rate of $45.00 Per month. <br />(c) Calls may be made from cars to the station for equipment checks without <br />charge. <br />(e) Mayfield Village will be charged and pay for the performance of services <br />under this contract which require Mayfield Heights to make toll calls, long distance <br />calls, telegrams or charges for excess telephone calls in the cost invoiced to Mayfield <br />Village. <br />Section 2. Council hereby approves the provisions of Ordinance Il 75-33 passed <br />by the City of Mayfield Heights on December 8, 1975. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure nec- <br />essary for the public health, peace, welfare or-safety of Mayfield Village; such nec- <br />essity exists by reason of the £act that its immediate passage is necessary in order <br />that radio call service bewteen this Village and the City of Mayfield Heights may be con- <br />tinued, thereby preserving the public peace, health and safety in Mayfield Village. <br />Wherefore, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor, otherwise from and after'th <br />Passed: February 16, 1976 <br />Attest: <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL O <br />Approue : ? /l0 7,6 <br />. ??? <br />??
