-8- <br />Section 2. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the health, peace, sa£ety and welfare of the Village and its inhabitants and for the <br />reason that it is necessary to amend previous legislation to conform with the Drug <br />Re£orm Law enacted by the legislature of the State of Ohio, effective July 1, 1976; <br />therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Section 3. Saving Clause. Any person charged with an offense committed prior <br />to the effective date of this Ordinance that is an o£fense under Chapter 513 shall be <br />prosecuted under the law as it existed at the time the oPfense was committed but shall <br />be sentenced according to the lesser penalties of this Chapter or House Bill 300. Per- <br />sons charged £or an offense under this Chapter that would not be an offense under this <br />Chapter or House Bill 300 shall have the charge dismissed and the records expunged of <br />all information concerning that offense. <br />Passed: August 16, 1976 <br />Attest: <br />LERK OF COUNCIL <br />Approved: '?11617G <br />MA?R <br />
