w l1J ~0 V LJ Q laJ 1~ ~7 P ~~ r m W V7 W i ORDIN[u'VCE N0. 71-2 Page 2. including the preparation of necessary legislation and the supervision of the preparation of transcripts of the proceedings in connection therewith; provided, however, that compensation for services rendered by him in connection with a special assessment note,shall be not less than $200.00 and in connection with a special assessment bond issue shall be not less than $300.00; (c) For preparation of a major code or recodification of a major code, such legal counsel shall be compensated in such further amount as may be agreed upon between him and Council. The compensation provided for in this Ordinance shall be payable out of the General Fund of said Village, except that the additional compensation for services rendered in connection caith any special assessment improvement shall be charged against the cost of said improvement and included as a part of the cost thereof. Section 4. Any necessary reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of his duties shall, after being approved by this Council, be authorized to be paid. Section 5. Council may appoint an Assistant Prosecutor to substitute for the above-named legal counsel when he is not available for prosecution of criminal cases. Section 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, safety and welfare of the Village of Afayfield, because of the necessity of providing adequate legal counsel for the Village immediately, and shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
