ORDINANCE N0. 71-27 <br />BY: MR. BOGER <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BZD OF LaTOUR OLDSMOBILE, <br />INC. FOR THE SALE OF A POLICE AUTOMOBILE TO THE <br />VILLAGE OF PfAYFIELD <br />SdHEREAS, LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed its <br />bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Dayfield, in accordance with law, <br />offering to sell to the Village a new 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Town Sedan <br />automobile, equipped in accordance with specifications, for the sum of $3,881.00, <br />with an allowance of $1,300.00 for a 1970 Oldsmobile automobile now owned by the <br />Village, and said bid is in accordance with the specifications established in <br />connection with the notice for bids, and <br />WHEREAS, said bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc. is the losoest and best <br />bid submitted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc. offering tb sell to the <br />Village of Mayfield a new 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Town Sedan automobile and <br />equipment, as described in its bid submitted in response to the advertisement for <br />bids, for the sum of $3,881.00, with an allowance of $1,300.00 for a 1970 <br />Oldsmobile automobile owned by the Village, making a net price of $2,581.00, be, <br />and the same is hereby accepted. Said amount is to be paid out of Building, and <br />Equipment and Maintenance Fund. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to execute all such documents and do all things necessary <br />to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to obtain as soon <br />as possible better police protection through more efficient equipment, and said <br />Ordinance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon the date of its <br />passage. <br />Pasaed this 19th day of April, 1971. <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~ <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASU R <br />~/ MAYOit PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br /> <br />
