Ordinance No. 71- 36 <br />Page 3. <br />Number of Minimum Maximum <br />Lanes (ft) (f t) <br />Ttoo-lane 18 24 <br />Three-lane 27 34 <br />The angle of intersection between the driveway and <br />the street shall be between 70 degrees and 90 degrees. <br />The radii of the edge of the driveway apron shall be at <br />least 15 feet, 25 feet recommended, so that a car <br />entering or leaving may not obstruct :vehicle in other <br />traffic lanes in the driveway or the curb lane of the <br />street. <br />Each required off-street loading space be designed <br />for direct vehicular access by means of a driveway, or <br />driveways, to a public street in a manner which will <br />least interfere with traffic movements and lane <br />encroachment. The access shall be located so that the <br />driveway center line shall be not less than 50 feet <br />from the nearest intersecting street line. <br />No entrance or exit driveway shall be constructed or maintained <br />so as to lead to or from a local residential street abutting a local <br />business district. The words ''local residential street' shall mean <br />a street used primarily for access to abutting residential properties. <br />Section 2. In all other respects, Ordinance No. 159, as amended by <br />Ordinance No. 960, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to prevent <br />the construction of driveways in local business districts which will endanger <br />life, limb, and safety of children and adults, and this ordinance shall be in <br />full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 16 day of August 1971. <br />• <br />Ma - esident of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />Y~ ~~~ v <br />(SEAL) Clerk - Treasurer <br />
