ORDINANCE N0. 71- 42 <br />BY: MR. <br />AN ORDINANCE A4fENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1017 BY ADDING <br />SECTION 2 (a), GIVING THE ASSISTANT TO THE CLERK- <br />TREASURER THE AUTHORITY TO SIGN PIINUTES, ORDINANCES, <br />RESOLUTIONS AND CERTIFICATES IN THE ABSENCE OF THE <br />CLERK-TREASURER <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Pfayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Ordinance No. 1017 dntitled, "An Ordinance Creating <br />the Position of Clerk-Treasurer and Fixing the Tenure, Compensation and <br />Duties Thereof", is hereby amended by adding Section 2 (a) which will read <br />as follows: <br />"Section 2 (a). When the Clerk-Treasurer is <br />absent from the County of Cuyahoga, the Assistant to the <br />Clerk-Treasurer shall have the authority to sign all <br />minutes, ordinances, resolutions, certificates and similar <br />documents in the place of the Clerk-Treasurer and affix the <br />Clerk-Treasurer's seal." ,+~~ <br />Section 2. In all other respects said Ordinance No. 1017 shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety, and caelfare of the Village of Pfayfield and ite inhabitants because of <br />the fact that the present Clerk-Treasurer is out of the state and not available <br />to sign necessary documents, and this may happen in the future, and this <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of September 1971. <br />O <br />~ A~ <br />Mayo rest ent of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />(Seal) Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br />
