Uniform Allowance. In addit~.on to his regular compensation, <br />each newly employed male member of the Police Department shall be reimbursed in an <br />amount not exceeding $350.00 for the cost of uniforms purchased by him for use in <br />his police work during his first year in such position. For newly employed female <br />members the amount shall not exceed $250.00. <br />Thereafter, each policeman shall be reimbursed in an amount not to exceed <br />$200.00 per year for uniforms purchased by him. Policewoman shall be reimbursed <br />in an amount not exceeding $150.00 per year for uniforms purchased by her. Reimburse- <br />ment will be paid as follows: <br />For the calendar year 1972 each policeman shall be paid a uniform <br />allowance of $200.00. This will be paid in installments of $100.00 each during <br />January and July. Policewoman shall be paid a uniform allowance of $150.00 in <br />installments of $75.00 each during January and July. It will be the responsibility <br />of members of the Police Department to submit to the Clerk-Treasurer receipted bill <br />for uniforms purchased during 1972 after January 1, 1973. Uniform allowance shall <br />be reduced for the year 1973 for the amount received in 1972 for which there is <br />no receipted bills. The same procedure shall be followed in subsequent years. <br />Section 3. Loneevity Schedule. In addition to the compensation above- <br />specified, each of said employees shall be entitled to receive additional compen- <br />sation on the following basis: <br />For not less than five years nor more than ten years'service, $10.00 <br />additional compensation per month. <br />For not less than ten years nor more than fifteen years'service, <br />$20.00 additional compensation per month. <br />For not less than fifteen years nor more than twenty years' service, <br />$30.00 additional compensation per month. <br />For more than twenty years'service, $40.00 additional compensation <br />per month. <br />
