ORDINANCE N0. 72- 6 <br />Page 2. <br />Network (Span), and to share the costs thereof, in the manner set forth in <br />the Agreement for establishment of the Regional Council of Governments, and <br />upon said Council being duly established, does hereby approve and authorize <br />the powers and functions of the Board of Trustees of the Suburban Police <br />Anti-Crime Network (Span) as set forth in said Agreement. <br />Section 3. That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer of this Village are <br />hereby approved as delegate and alternate, respectively, of this Village to <br />the Regional Council of Governments, and they are hereby directed to report <br />to this Council and keep it informed as to the programs, functions, and <br />activities of the Regional Council of Governments as they may affect or be <br />of interest to this Village and its inhabitants. <br />Section 4. That the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed to deliver <br />a certified copy of this ordinance to the other proposed municipalities for <br />their consideration and adoption. <br />Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reason stated in the preamble hereof and for <br />the reason that early membership in the Council of Governments will permit <br />participation in the formulation of programs for the solution of areawide <br />problems, including the establishment of Suburban Police Anti-Crime <br />Network (Span), and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to the Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval. <br />Passed this 21 day of February. _ , 1972, <br />~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk-Treasurer <br />- President of Council <br />
