ORDINANCE N0. 72-10 <br />By: MR. SCHMIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH <br />KENNETH MEYERS, D.B.A. KEN'S AUTO SERVICE, <br />FOR THE DISPOSAL OF ABANDONED AND JUNK VEHICLES <br />Be It Ordained by Council of The Village of Mayfield, County <br />of Cuyahoga, and State of Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized <br />to enter into an Agreement in writing with Kenneth Meyers, d.b.a. Ken's Auto <br />Service, whereby for no compensation the latter agrees to dispose of all abandoned <br />and junk vehicles turned over to him by the Police Department of the Village of <br />Mayfield, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 4513.60, 4513.61, <br />4513.62, and 4513. 63 of the Ohio Revised Code, within 30 days after receipt <br />thereof and pursuant to the instructions of the Chief of Police. This Agreement <br />is cancelable by either party on 30 days' notice in writing to the other. Said <br />Agreement shall contain a provision that said vehicles shall be stored in such a <br />manner as to not be unsightly or detrimental to the surrounding visual environ- <br />ment or properties. <br />Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety, and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, for the reason <br />that it is necessary to take immediate steps for the disposal of abandoned and <br />junk vehicles in order to conform with the provisions of the statutes of the <br />State of Ohio, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of July ~ 1972. <br />v ~"~~ <br />May - President of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />,~ ~/~ <br />(Se Clerk-Treasurer <br />
