Uniform Allowance. In addition to his regular compensation, each newly employed male member 6f the Police Department shall be reimbursed in an amount not exceeding $350.00 for the cost of uniforms purchased by him for use in his police work during his first year in such position. For newly employed female members the amount shall not exceed $250.00. Thereafter, each policeman shall be reimbursed in an amount not to exceed $200.00 per year for uniforms purchased by him. Policewomen shall be reimbursed in an amount not exceeding $150.00 per year for uniforms purchased by her. It will be the responsibility of members of the Police Department to submit to the Clerk-Treasurer receipted bill for uniforms purchased during 1973 after January 1, 1974. Uniform allowance shall be reduced for the year 1974 for the amount received in 1973 for which there is no receipted bills. The same procedure shall be followed in subsequent years. Section 3. Lonsevity Schedule. In addition to the compensation above- specified, each of said employees shall be entitled to receive additional compen- sation on the following basis: For not less that five years nor more than ten years' service, $10.00 additional compensation per month.
