ORDINANCE NO. 73 - 5 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Schmidt <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE <br />CRUISER WITH SUCCESSFUL BIDDER <br />WHEREAS, Council finds that an advertisement for the tender <br />of bids for a 1973 police cruiser was published in the Sun-Messenger <br />on January 25, 1973 and February 1, 1973; and <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property and <br />safety and by reason of the emergency which exists, the Village of <br />Mayfield deems it a matter of great urgency to purchase a police <br />cruiser and avoid any impairment in the operation of the Police Depart- <br />ment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Sec. 1. That it is hereby determined that the liid of <br />for the purchase of a 1973 police <br />cruiser in accordance with specifications of the Village of Mayfield <br />is the lowest and best bid received after advertising in accordance <br />with Ohio Revised Code, Sec. 735.05, and the Clerk-Treasurer be and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />for such purchase in accordance <br />with the specifications upon which such bid was received. The cost <br />of said contract shall be payable out of funds appropriated for said <br />purpose. <br />Sec. 2.
