ORDINANCE NO. 73- 6 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE TO OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF <br />ALFONSO MARRA TO PLOW THE SNOW FROM CERTAIN <br />SIDEWALKS IN THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Beginning as of the effective date of this Ordinance <br />and for a period of two years from this date, Council employs the ser- <br />vices of Alfonso Marra to plow in a careful manner with suitable equip- <br />ment the sidewalks located on the following streets in the Village of <br />Mayfield: <br />Wilson Mills Road - on the north isde from SOM Center <br />Road to the Freeway. <br />Wilson Mills Road - on the southerly side from SOM <br />Center Road to Lander Road. <br />Lander Road -from Wilson Mills Road to Ridgebury <br />Boulevard. <br />Ridgebury Boulevard - between both of its termini <br />in the Village of Mayfield. <br />SOM Center Road - on the easterly side from Wilson <br />Mills Road to Sandalwood Road. <br />Said employment may be terminated by either party upon seven <br />days taritten notice to the other party. <br />Sec. 2. The senior officer of the Service Department shall <br />be charged with the responsibility of determining the necessity of plow <br />service and in his absence, the senior officer on duty in the Police <br />Department shall thereupon make the determination. The officer authori- <br />zing the plow service shall be charged with the responsibility of <br />approving all invoices before payment is authorized thereon. <br />Sec. 3. For such services as~are described in Sec. 1 hereof, <br />the Village of Mayfield agrees to pay to Alfonso Marra the sum of $11.00 <br />per hour, with a minimum compensation of $27.00 for clearing all of the <br />sidewalks above described. <br />Sec. 4. Alfonso Marra shall carry liability insurance in <br />such form as is satisfactory to the Solicitor of the Village of Mayfield <br />Sec. 5. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in <br />order to make as soon as possible the sidewalks safe for pedestrians in <br />the Village, particularly children attending school, and this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage <br />Passed this 19th day of Febru 1973. <br />~~ <br />ATTEST: OR-PRESID T OF COUNCIL <br />'~~ ~~ <br />SEAL.
