ORDINANCE NO. 73- 32 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Leech <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 53 OF ORDINANCE N0. 309, <br />THE TRAFFIC ORDINA~~ICE OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, AS <br />AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 810, 953, 1040 and 71-10, <br />PERTAINING TO PARKING OF VEHICLES. <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, that: <br />Sec. 1. Section 53 of Ordinance No. 309, being an ordinance to <br />regulate traffic on the streets and public highways in the Village of <br />Mayfield, as amended. by Section 3 of Ordinance 810, Ordinance No. 953, <br />Ordinance No. 1040, and Ordinance No. 71-10, is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br />"Section 53. Parking Rules: No persons shall stand or <br />park a vehicle, except women necessary to avoid conflict <br />with other traffic or with the provisions of this <br />ordinance or a state law, or while obeying the directions <br />of a police officer or a traffic control device, in any <br />of the following places: (A) on a sidewalk, except a <br />bicycle; (B)in front of a public or private driveway; <br />(C) within an intersection; (D) within ten feet of a <br />fire hydrant; (E) on a crosswalk; (F) wit2iin twenty feet <br />of a crosswalk; (G) within thirty feet of any flashing <br />beacon, stop sign, or other traffic control device; (H) <br />between a safety zone and the adjacent curb, or within <br />thirty feet of points on the curb immediately opposite <br />the ends of a safety zone, unless a different length is <br />indicated by a traffic control device; (I) within twenty <br />feet of a driveway entrance to any fire station and, on <br />the side of the street opposite the entrance to any fire <br />station, within 75 feet of either side of the entrance; <br />(J) alongside or opposite any street excavation or <br />obstruction when such standing or parking vehicle would <br />obstruct traffic; (K) alongside any vehicle stopped or <br />parked at the edge or curb of a street; (L) upon any <br />bridge or elevated structure upon a highway, or within <br />a highway tunnel; (M) at any place where signs prohibit <br />stopping; (N) within one foot of another parked vehicle; <br />(O) on the roadway portion of a freeway, expressway, or <br />throughway; (P) on the side of any street where fire <br />hydrants are located; (Q) between the sidewalk and a <br />roadway, or treelawn, or upon the center strip of any <br />freeway, expressway, or boulevard street, or in a traffic <br />island; (Ry in any fire lane on public or private property <br />which has been duly designated and posted as such by the <br />police department or the fire department of the Village <br />of Mayfield; (S) on any street or highway in the Village <br />of Ma ffield at any time when the Mayor shall determine <br />and myafe a written finding that there exists on any such <br />
