ORDINANCE N0. 73- 37 <br />Introduced by: Boger <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0.1017 <br />AND ENACTING ORDINANCE NO. 73- 37 TO CREATE <br />THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT TO CLERK-TREASURER, <br />FIXING TiiE TENURE, COMPENSATIODI, BOND AND <br />DUTIES THEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. There is hereby created the position of Assistant to <br />the Clerk-Treasurer, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the <br />consent of the majority of members elected to Council, and may be <br />removed at any time by an affirmative vote of the majority of <br />members elected to Council. <br />Sec. 2. The duties of the Assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer <br />shall be to assist the Clerk-Treasurer in the typing of minutes, <br />papers, forms, and documents, to attend the meetings of Council, and <br />to do whatever secretarial work may be assigned by the Clerk- <br />Treasurer. <br />Sec. .3. The compensation of the Assistant to the Clerk- <br />Treasurer shall be at the rate of $2.92 per hour, which compensation <br />may be changed by Council at any time. Such person shall perform <br />her duties in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer approximately 30 <br />hours per week, in addition to the time spent in attendance at <br />meetings of Council, Safety and Service Committee, and the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission, for all of which services she shall be com- <br />pensated at the same hourly rate. Such person shall be entitled <br />to two weeks vacation with pay in each calendar year. The pay for <br />vacation purposes shall be computed on the basis of the average pay <br />of such person during said calendar year. <br />Sec. 4. The Assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer shall be <br />required to give bond in the penal sum of $5,000.00, indemnifying <br />the Village of Mayfield against any loss occasioned by the failure' <br />of the Assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer to faithfully perform her <br />respective duties which bond shall be in form approved by the <br />Solicitor. <br />
